Best Password Managers of 2026

06.06.2026 02:18 PM - By Erick McCollum

Password managers provide a way to store complex passwords for all your accounts. Additionally a good password manager may include other features, such as allowing you to share passwords with family and friends, store multi-factor authentication (MFA) codes, passkeys, and more. After a thorough review, FGM Technology Services recommends the following password managers for your home or business.

Bitwarden

Bitwarden is an open source password manager with both free and paid plans. As open source software, you can trust that Bitwarden is continuously improving through contributions from both its parent company and a broader community at large. Bitwarden's free plan has a wealth of features, but you may want to upgrade to a paid plan for a more comprehensive feature set. You can read more about the different plans and features that Bitwarden offers here: https://bitwarden.com/pricing/

Proton Pass

Proton Pass has gained popularity in recent years as potentially the most full-featured free password manager. While not open source, Proton Pass is backed by a company that truly values privacy across all of its products (read more). If you use any of Proton's other tools/apps, such as Proton Mail, then Proton Pass may be a natural addition. Proton Pass' free plan has a wealth of features, but paid plans are also available with even more privacy-focused features.
